Re: I just love thisThank you! We captured this moment on Mt. Evans. Mountain goats are a common visitor there, but to get such a great pose with the background was a real treat.
I enjoyed your article, and share the addiction!
Blessings!

P.S.
Middleton, ID? Is that near Boise?
We spent about 4 years in Cambridge.

Re: I just love thisYes Roxy, Middleton is 23 miles from Boise to the Northwest. Cambridge is awesome, lots of hills and peaks nearby!
All my best,
Steve

Re: Great shotThank you!
You have some great photography as well.
Wildlife photography is some of my favorite, when given the opportunity. I'm fortunate to have as much opportunity where I live as I do.
Blessings!

Re: And then there is this...These particular "mountaineers" are very used to humans. I have encountered goats up close on about 3 occasions, and they never seem to get very jittery. I think that they are confident that they rule the mountains. They certainly are always a treat to enjoy.
Blessings!

Re: Very niceThank You!
True... you don't see them every day :0)
I think they are seen quite often on Mt.Evans. I have also seen them on Mt. Grays and Torreys. On Mt. Evans they seemed quite used to the people around.
Happy Hiking!

Re: love your profile pic.!Thank you! It really wasn't too difficult. There was a heard hanging out on Evans Peak, CO. They are not at all intimidated by people up there. I couldn't have asked for a better backdrop and having the little kid all curled up next to mom.... a perfect moment for me. I will check yours out.
Have a wonderful week!

my goat was timidThanks,
I could not get a good photo of mine, was a little far away and not too use to humans, have watched them do INCREDIBLE climbing, incl. the wall on takkakaw falls, and on an obscure pk. near waterton to get to a fold in the rock in the wall ,they now need to be extra exceptional mtneers. to evade us etc. is too bad, they are beautiful, they know how to evade though!Mt. Evans gave you a rare photo opportunity!!Thanks! The rock rambler.
