Sierra's in CA. Lake Tahoe is just beyond a couple bumps. I'm sitting on a 4 ft x 4 ft summit slab at 10K ft., and just below me is about 2K of air...way past vertical. In fact, the lake (Aloha) was our destination point for camping on day 2, but we had to make a major detour due to the roadblock (the rock face we couldn't get down).
