Taken near the top of Dog Mtn by Bob Bolton who inspired me over 5 years ago to stop spending all my time in the Enchantments of Washington and start seeing the rest of the west via county highpointing and prominence peaks. Thanks to Bob's influence I have since topped out on over 300 peaks, lost thirty pounds and visited all the western states in the pursuit of the high ground. Thanks Bob, you certainly changed my life.

Two-way street!

Well Dean, you came along at exactly the right time for me as well, as I had just started working the Washington and Oregon counties and needed someone who was as interested in that pursuit as I was to chase them with. The upshot has now been five years of great friendship and shared adventures all over the western US. You made it possible for me to change my life too - my wife would never have allowed me to head off into all those remote places alone, so I owe you a huge debt of gratitude as well.
