Yes I belong to that area but my village name is Saltoro,situated in Baltistan, highest and legendary valley, the last human settlement before the walk up Siachen Glacier.

My village name is Saltoro a village of Baltistan is perched of 2550 Metres. Baltistan was known as Little Tibet in olden days.
Baltistan is proud of having the world’s second highest mountain K2 8611 M, The other well known peaks are Masherbrum 7821-M popularly known as K1, Broad Peak 8047-M Hidden Peak or Gasherbrum I 8068-M Gasherbrum II 8035-M ,Gasherbrum IV and Chogolisa 7665-M, Spantik 7027 Trango Tower, Shipton Spire etc situated in Baltistan valley. The majority of the highest peaks are either in the Baltistan or Ladakh regions. Baltistan has more than 100 mountain peaks exceeding 6,100 metres (20,000 ft) height from sea level.
Baltistan also known of vast Glacier, The Siachen Glacier at 70 km and the Biafo Glacier
at 63 km rank as the world's second and third longest glaciers outside the polar regions.
Baltistan possess gorgeous scenic beauty.Shigar, Khaplu, Saltoro, Kharmang, Chorbot and Deosai etc one of the beautiful valleys in this area.
Baltistan has a number of beautiful lakes, Sadpara Lake , Kachura Lakes are matchless.

Yes! Thanks. I'm aware of those peaks. I have read several books about the famous expeditions to K2 etc. and seen many pictures from up around Concordia for example. If you have any shots of Baintha Brakk, (The Ogre) on the north side of the Biafo Glacier I would like to see them.
