Oh Man. I discovered Paradise! Campo Imperatore, Apennines Italy. Six years of frequent assignments to Italy. So where am I gonna head every weekend there.

This is the top of the 27km road up the mountain. September, I'm aiming to head back and ride it again. I made an Album about it on mbpost.

Come over and bike it. At the top you get a fab pasta, pizza, wine lunch and then on down.... wheeee....

Ray - my biking is very limited. I only commute to work on my mtn. bike with the goal of keeping my wt. in control :)

Same route day in and day out. Assuming I made it to the top, I would need more than pizza & pasta to straighten me out (thinking a jolt or two from a defibrilator!).
Great scenery though - I can see why you keep going back.

There's a cable car to the top. So load the bike, then after a light lunch (like a Fetuccini, half a herd steak and a gallon of red wine), you won't have any problems cruising back down on the bike. Just picking yourself up might take a bit longer.

Well, even the view is enough to take my breath away.
