Big Pine Creek, North Fork. TH only accessible from Owens Valley side of the Sierras.

Temple Crag in the background, Southern-most glacier in the Sierras. I believe I am sitting in front of the 5th lake, but my memory is terrible hence I didn't post a description with the picture. We did it as a day hike when we were living in Southern California, but it is a nice backpack, too. And my husband has climbed many of the 14ers in the area (known as the Palisades).

Thanks for the explanation. I haven't been anywhere near (yet, anyway), but this sure looks like a fine place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. I can imagine how it would be like to camp right there :-)
