You missed the best partCaves! Lots of stream caves in the gypsum plains around the Valley of Fires. There are also numerous stream caves that dive under the lava, so there are gypsum floors and gypsum walls but there is a basalt ceiling. These caves fill completely with water when it rains or there is a flash flood. Then there are the lava tube caves in the lava flow - difficult to find and difficult to reach, but they're there. Tread lightly.
