Various winter routes on Silverheels from Hoosier Pass. The blue line is best, but if there is wind loading and avalanche danger, the green line would be better, thought the blue line is probably safe most of the winter. The red line is another alternative with a short section of willows. Make sure to ascend the back up to the blue line/Hoosier Ridge. We didn’t and were sorry. Don’t try to cross the willow-filled basin without snowshoes!
