| Approached via Venable Creek. From Venable Lakes I went up Pt 12,873. I ran the ridge over to Venable over to Spring and Comanche. I descended Comanche Creek. Snow was not a problem and I thought Venable Creek was hands down the highlight of the day. | |

| First time in the Sangres and had excellant weather so wife and I did the Comanche Venable Trail Loop! Seamed like a never ending forest of Aspens then Wham! Large opening in the valley with the mountain peaks just within reach, Beautiful Alpine lakes! Awsome well worth it! Nice view of Westcliff far down below. The Phantom Terrace was a little nervous. | |

| Started at Alavarado Trailhead. Up Venable Trail, over Venable, Spring & Comanche, and down Comanche Trail. Nice loop. | |
