The trail you follow soon after you leave the parking lot is the "Hieroglyph Trail". The petroglyphs are in the rocks where the trail drops into the wash (where the trail ends), on the West side of the wash.
Was out there today and the road is now paved all the way to the parking lot but there is no restroom. There are also nice signs at each turn that say "Hiking" with an arrow showing which way to turn. The trail past the petroglyphics is in pretty good shape and plenty of cairns to make it easy to follow.

Hieroglyphics? Why is this canyon named this? You don't mention it on your page, are they there somewhere?
