View of lower routes

From the vehicles, parked at 4700 feet, we thought the route to the ridgeline might be the best way to go. So the route in yellow is the way we went but when we got to the ridgeline, we knew we'd been better off to take the route you see in red (the way we went down) and would have saved ourselves some time and effort. The remainder of the route up to the summit isn't shown on this pic but for the lower portion, the red is the way to go. 4-30-09
