A short spur trail leads to the very tip of this imposing basalt ridge. That's snow covered Hardy Ridge in the distance.

the thumbnail with this shot, first thought was: St. Peters Dome in profile. The "birthday cake" layering of choss is a bit reminiscent (guess it's common to most walls in the Gorge). Great shot Don!

Thanks for the compliment, Radek. Yeah, that thing sure does look like SPD! I'll bet you could line up photos of the two and they would match. I'll have to try it.
