In Bohinj......there's also a similar touristic event every year. Once we were observing how the participants were changing behind a corner, before they appeared to the public as "coming down from high pšastures". But I understand them, especially the guy who was carrying a huge bronze cauldron. I also wouldn't carry those 80 kilos for 3 hours :)

Re: In Bohinj...Well these guys and girls really do come down from the Almen of Kelchsau; they prepare early in the morning and walk down with the cattle for about 2 hours without carrying a huge bell, this is the task of the leading cow :-)
