Compared to the image above, a somewhat different perspective and substantially different lighting lead to a new outlook on
Flinsch Peak (the horn at left) and Red Mountain (still in sunlight, much more dominant in this view), with the ridge to
Sinopah Mountain being mostly in sunlight and like a different slab of rock entirely. The "stegosaurus-like" backboned edifice protruding (in shadow) at the bottom of the image is, amazingly enough, the ridge which culminates in
Painted Tepee Peak, so attractive from the Two Medicine campground area. Photo by Vernon, July 6, 2005.
