Although it may seem that the class 4 route should be on the left, the route on the right requires climbing on highly exposed terrain. The route on the left is exposed as well but the climbing is a little easier.

My ascent ended when I got to the point where the class 4 route begins (the saddle). I saw the less exposed route on the left but I was too exhausted and chicken to finish the climb that day. I shouldn't have even been up there since I was still recovering from an upper respiratory infection. I didn't get another chance at it the rest of the summer... I hope to return one day.

I don't blame you for turning around. The climb until that point is straightforward, albeit relentless, but the summit block is indeed shaky. If you return, bring a summit register or perhaps start a cairn, something I neglected to do. Good luck!
