I guess this is a good time of year to climb it. You can just walk across Lucifer and Picture and avoid the summer brush.

You have been up this way? I was meaning to this fall, and now might check it out next spring. This is as far as I have been on this side of the hill, but from the map and from looking down from the top it definately looks do-able. Write up a route if you went up there

Yes, I've been to Mountaineer a few times this way in the summer. I've never written a route before, but I'll give it a try sometime this week.
