Spring on Sator [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Spring on Sator
Contrast between north and south slopes of Sator is huge. Southern slopes are soft and grassy, in spring covered with carpets of flowers. Northern slopes are steep with cliffs and scree slopes. Behind is highest peak, Veliki Sator (1872m).

Mountainman 69In the first..

Voted 10/10

half of the past century my grandfather (from mother“s side) for many years moved his sheep from scanty Dalmatia to the grassy slopes of Sator. They walked with the herd all the way from near Sibenik to the bosnian mountain. Tended the herd there for the summer and then returned back to Danilo-Kraljice. In YU-times i once visited the area with my family.
