Leading the third pitch of Munginella. Shirley is belaying me from top of pitch two (as we broke it up - not the "correct" belay spot. June, 2003).

Hasn't voted | Craig if you don't mind my asking, how long was it from this first lead to the first big wall route that you did (what was it?)?

Hasn't voted | It was 4 years. I started climbing in 1976 ( no Friends or cams then - just hex nuts and stoppers for pro on free ). First successful wall climbs were in 1980 - Lone Pine Peak, Direct South Face ( V, 5.7, A0 ) and the Lost Arrow Direct ( V, 5.9, A3 ). Climbed Dihedral Wall on El Cap the next year. | | Posted Sep 11, 2003 12:57 pm |
