of Graham peak, a bleak scene awaits these hikers. This forest was badly burned in a fire two years prior and the top of the mountain was totally burned. Blackened trees were everywhere and considering the fact that the summit area is located at the 10700 foot level, it was strange for those of us who hail from the Pacific Northwest to even see trees at that elevation. 11-06
