An extremely tattered American flag and Colorado state flag mark the summit (September 20, 2003). On the other side of the valley you can see Colorado National Monument.

Flag pole is down

I summited this morning to find the flag pole on the ground. It looked like someone dug it up. There was also a small plaque that someone cemented into the rock near the summit that memorializes some who recently passed. It is dated from this past summer.
