An unexpectedly nice path along the western edge of the summit block on Elk Mountain in Charon's Garden Wilderness, OK. The summit boulder is to the right, about 30-35 feet higher. Don't be fooled by this easy looking trail: Access to it is by bushwhacking from the class 1 Elk Mountain Trail through a boulder-strewn field interlaced with poison ivy and greenbriar.
