"Tinaja Peak" from Turtlehead [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
"Tinaja Peak" from Turtlehead
View in "Orig" for better detail.

"Tinaja Peak" is the left-hand formation in the foreground; the trail to Turtlehead Peak passes through the wash between Tinaja Peak and the formation beyond it.

"Tinaja Peak" is my nickname for this unnamed summit simply because in the vicinity of the summit, I located six water-filled tinajas, one the size of a small pond and another a few feet deep.

In "Orig" and then using the magnifier, you can easily see three of the tinajas in this picture. The large, pond-sized one is near the left edge of the frame, about halfway down. Look for a large tree (there are not many on the peak).
