wonderful limestone barriers

These rivers are really special!! Hopefuly they remain as they are. More and more areas are being made accessible to tourism, hydropower, agriculture... till everything is gone.

Re: wonderful limestone barriers

Yes Klaus, it scares me very much. This amazing area has been totally forgotten till recently. It is one of least populated in Croatia, civilization doesn’t exist here. It is true wilderness in every sense. Now it's becoming more and more popular. Lately path through Krupa canyon has been marked. I hope that is first and last thing humans will bring here. I think power plant dam is out of question but roads, hotels and such beauties of tourism exploitation remain the threat.
