Pag (349m) island is one of...

Pag (349m) island is one of longest on Adriatic Sea but is most indented and has longest coast line of 1000 Croatian islands. It stretches along whole Mid and most of South Velebit which means it is inevitable part of sea panoramas along the much of the Velebit massif. Here is its central part from Budakovo Brdo (1317m) on Mid Velebit, seen over the ridge of Razvrsje (1127m), showing beautiful entrance into deep Pag bay (most part is right, not visible). On the other side of bay and on its SE end (left) you can notice tiny white dots. Those would be houses in part of Pag town, largest on the island. Behind is Vir island while further back are islands of Zadar archipelagos. As all islands below Velebit Pag is barren by powerful Bura wind, which even prevents grass from growing on exposed sides.
