Wilson Peak

Wilson Peak

Looking south to Mount Wilson (13060'), the peak with the long flat summit ridge and steep north face striped with snow. From Moose Peak. Contrast with this picture taken from Wilson, looking north at Moose Peak. The lake is Red Castle Lake. September-18-2009, 10:45AM

Re: Wow!

Thanks, I'd like to view it from that flat, mesa like thing on the right, but I was on the ridge above it and way too lazy to walk down 400'. I wonder if there is any time of day where south views look red. You would never know how red that area is from this picture.

Re: Wow!

Early morning? I know looking southwest from Dollar Lake in Henry's Fork toward the Mt. Powell ridge looks pretty red.

Re: Wow!

I'm looking southeast, so I'm thinking evening, but it's also more south than east so I'm not sure that would work.
