Amazing Mont Blanc!When did you make this shot? We were here in August 2009 on tour and have built a snow hole exactly on this place. I can see it in the middle of the picture few meters from the footsteps of the route. I dont't think that a snow hole is a long life building in the mountains.

Going up, we passed some tents at the base of Mont Maudit. I was very cold at that point, glad to have stayed in the refuge.
Up to now, I haven't slept in a snow hole yet. I don't plan to either, but in case of an emergency I might have to some day. It looks like you're having a lot of fun in there though!
