The Vadret da Tisch

Walking up the inconspicuous Val Tisch, you may expect cows, marmots, a barn perhaps, but not a glacier.

The remnants of the fading Vadret da Tisch (map) now barely cover 200 vertical meters, stretching from almost 2700m to almost 2900m on the north flank of Piz Alvra (3117m). It is shielded in addition by Piz Üertsch (3267m).

Images of a Swiss National Day (August 1) well spent.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
