The steep couloir on the NE side of the Lodner saddle

The cutout clearly shows the cornice at the top. Although it looks that way, it wasn't overhanging at all. The top 10 meters or so were steep, about 50°, then it got easier. I estimate thhat the height of the couloir in this photo is about 150 m. There is a lot more snow further down, but that's invisible behind the rocks in the foreground. 15 July 2013.
