That must be a popular spot for photos along this section of trail. I have one of myself at exactly the same spot in very different weather. Thanks to your caption, I now know where it was taken!

Sounds like a fun trip. You mentioned taking a honda civic off-roading, i have done the same thing with mine. It is a 1991 and has 251k miles on it, and i call it the gocart. What year was yours? you got to love those Japanese cars that just keep going.

"was". Unfortunately I had to off-load Rufus the Honda when my fiance and I moved out here to Colorado. Her car was slightly newer and larger, though, in retrospect, didn't run nearly as well. Rufus was a 1990 Civic LX with 180k on it. Got 40+ mpg and did things Civics weren't designed for. We now drive a Subaru which looks a lot like Rufus but has 4wd and a larger storage space. Off-roading with it isn't nearly as exciting, but probably much safer. Ah, good times...
