Bent Tree Area

Here are good views of three routes. Kopley's Corner (5.7)-- up the corner left of the pillar just left of center. Longhorn (5.8-)-- up right of the pillar and then traverse right under the roof to pull it on an arete there. My rope is set on this route. The Shield (5.8)-- up the dihedral to the roof that looks a bit like a shield. Pull the roof on the left, or pull it on the right for a 5.9+ variation. Shenandoah National Park, VA-- November 2015
