Bushy?Based on the satellite imagery I would guess that the road is now over grown with slide alder? Franklin's 2011 report says "On past to the road just past Trout Creek (to Sunset Mine)... Around the first corner a big surprise. Dang! The road was newly de-commissioned.". Perhaps do-able, but not as good as the north route?

Re: Bushy?Overall, the north route is pretty nice. I've never done the Beckey Route (I've only gone as far as Iron Mountain), but I can guarantee it takes a lot longer to do.
Having said that, if your plan is to do an overnight, the Beckey Route will allow you to do Iron, Conglomerate, and Spire Point on the side. If you want to do it as a day climb, do the north approach.
