Leading pitch one of the...
Leading pitch one of the Olevsky Route on The Owl. This is the first "bulge" crux. Great fun moves on positive holds and very clean rock (despite its appearance; March 26, 2005).

is a climber's wonderland, yet few climbers realize this. This is a good and bad thing. Clean climbging practices have kept Arches a great place for climbers for quite a while. Use of colored chalk is encouraged by the park service, so these magnificent bastions have remained beautiful for everyone to enjoy. If you're a climber like SP's rpc, Arches is a real dream, and there are many unknown routes waiting to be discovered.

As usual, excellent and stunning route photos have been displayed with rpc's outstanding route description.

Aaron,

Thank you very much for the kind remarks! I agree that Arches is an amazing place to climb. My jaw was dropped as we were driving thru. it - so many awsome looking towers. So much good stuff in such a cool setting!
