jdmorehouseDay Hike to Rabbit  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jan 18, 2015

Passed over Villager twice in one day, on the way to Rabbit, then again on the way back. A long but enjoyable day hike.

3.5 years after the first attempt, I was ready to give Villager and Rabbit another try. This time it was a different story. Rolled up the ridge and was on top of Villager before long. Continued on the roller-coaster to Rabbit, then back. The descent down to S22 was long and seemingly endless, but we eventually overcame it. Redemption!

Grueling climb up the ridge with a huge pack, followed by an overnight on the summit.

Beautiful cloudless day. Saw the same number of people as I did sheep - two.

On the way to Rabbit as a dayhike. Beautiful day with a slightly cool breeze to keep the temperature perfect all day.

Great New Year's Eve hike. Started from the citrus grove (Fillmore Ave) and climbed Rabbit Peak via the E-ridge. Then traversed to Villager and descended the south ridge to S-22. Great views all along the route. 9h 50min CTC.

Think I lost track of how many times I've summited this peak, was this #5 or #6? Went as a party of four, but they all dropped out so I was solo on the summit. Nice temperate day with light breeze. Got to slow walk the bottom half with my better half, with a leisurely stroll under headlamps for the last mile or so.

I made it to summit in 6 hours and setup camp. I had the whole mountain range to myself for two days. Made it out to Rabbit and back and then to the car on Sunday. LOTS of SERIOUS WIND on Sunday.

With Miguel Forjan. I went another 1.5 miles towards Rabbit before turning back. Miguel went on to summit Rabbit. Another great day to be in the hills!
