Viper's Bugloss

Viper's Bugloss (Echium vulgare)sometimes called blue devil and blueweed, is common biennial weed of Gorski Kotar. Local name is Lisicina (written with caron atop c and spelled Leeseecheenah). Height may vary, one seen on the photo above was round 80cm (0.8m) high. All Viper's Bugloss leaves have sort of white speckles that give the leaves a dimpled appearance, main aesthetic feature, hovewer, are hairy flowers, right blue to purple in color, making it distinctive among all the other weeds.
