"Virga" Oil on Paper James Disney Private Collection Looking to the west from my hometown of Loveland, Colorado towards Longs Peak and neighbors, with the afternoon thunderstorms starting to build. Virga is the name for the veils of rain hanging from the clouds that mostly evaporate before making it to the ground. Click on the image for a larger version.

Great Painting

This is really awesome. I have alwyas loved how Longs looms over the plains. I think this is my favorite of your wondeful paintings.
