Very informative! I don't agree about the most beautiful area in Germany - even for the central part - but that's clearly a matter of taste. I'll give you the coordinates from my GPS software but that may take some time.

There are three hiking routes (Niddaquelle, Geiselstein, Schalksbach) - klick on these links and then on "Wanderkarte" to get the respective maps

For english info (I didn't sift through them) just google for "Hiking Vogelsberg". The first page of results should have some interesting info (like accommodation).
