"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Trail/Tower ReopenedThe trail and tower for Wakely Mt were closed for a while, but reopened a week ago with some repairs to the tower. The first 2 mikes of trail are easy, then it gets steeper right after a sign that indicates 1 more mile to the summit. It was steep, but not unbearably so. At the summit, a helipad has been refurbished along with repairs to the firetower. This is a vety tall firetower, the tallest I beliece in the Adirondacks. An awesome, clear day to hike up here with spectacular views from the tower. 25 minute drive along Cedar River Rd to the trailhead, which has a sign for Wakely Mt, just past Wakely Pond.

Bike-HikeBiked in the logging rd, hiked up to the tower, cool to see the old ladder on the outside. Great unspoiled wilderness views from the tower.

Nice FiretowerHad bad weather so no view but its a nice hike. The Moose River Plains area is a great place to explore. Has the highest firetower in the ADK Park and its an adventure getting to the top.
