Re: awesomewow, that's cool that you like the shot so much. I wish I was there right now in those conditions again. I'm a consultant so while I'm away (sailing eg)I try to work a few hours every day. Then during summer when I'm home it is mostly my field season so I work up to 18+ hours a day to get everything done. Then I have all the info I need when I go away.
I also live extremely cheaply and most of my money goes into trips. I can never retire. And fortunately for me, the longer trips such as Iceland and Africa etc, I have some friends from Holland who arrange stuff and seem to know how to do things very inexpensively too. When we did Iceland they brought their van across in a container boat and we split the cost. Then we were able to tent everywhere and make our own dinners (plus brought lots of tinned and packaged foods with us) so it worked out pretty cheap relatively. So in a nutshell, I don't have many frills except good gear(!) and the odd motel 6, and work like crazy when I can so I can play like crazy the rest of the time.
