Yikes!That's good to know. I've only seen 2 rattlesnakes in Zion before...neither on the Terrace.

Nearly stepped on this little guy. Also had a close encounter with his big brother the previous day very near the same spot. So anyway, you know that big outcropping of black basalt right at the end of the Northgate Peaks trail? Well, based on my experience, it's crawling with rattlesnakes.
