Waterfowl

At a small lake east of Tuti (Peru) on the south east side of Rio Colca. Strangely enough, I saw no rivers into or out of this little lake. Perhaps it fills up annually during the rainy season, and dries up afterwards. I could have tasted the water to see if it was salty, but I didn't, even though I presume that this water is of better quality than Rio Colca, because there are many villages upstream and I doubt if they have waste treatment plants in these parts. 6 May 2011.
