no snowi wish i would climb this route one day, it seems amazing to go above the clouds, but its sad there is no snow at this point.

WhenWhen did you take this picture? (May of 2008? (Ordibehesht 87?). Seems like drought has hit Iran pretty hard this year. Is there no snow on Damavand at 5000 m elevation now or is this a picture from another time?

It was in middle of Mordad 86 (July 2007) up to 3rd day the weather was cold but no snow...in the 3rd day ...when we started Climbing from 5000m (Camp 2) after 2 hrs the weather completely changed …heavy Snow & Sleet …. We were continued the way in that Sleet & Fog so slowly … could ascend the Peak… unfortunately I don’t have any photo from way of Camp 2 to the peak because non of us were ok at that time …very bad conditions…but I have a Photo when I am on the Peak with my friends…that I will Scan and put it in my profile tomorrow…
