We don't have lots of exposed...

We don't have lots of exposed rock here in the southern Appalachians, and we rarely see ice. What we do have is one of the most vigorous forests in North America. Here, the cove hardwood systems are recovering nicely on the slopes of Ridgepole Mountain.
