Hasn't voted | Apparently, on this trail it is us poor, un-suspecting hikers! LOL
They (governmental agencies) are always putting these out to snag bear hair for DNA testing to see how and where grizzlies are spreading in NW Montana. I don't know what they use for bait, but they do use barbed wire to snag the bears fur. This is a fairly popular hiking trail (we saw 4 other hikers that day) just a very poor choice, IMHO, to place something like this near a popular trail, just asking for some kind of confrontation...maybe that is the REAL study! | | Posted Jun 30, 2012 6:57 pm |
