Sure there is good stuff here but I always have to go out west once or twice a year for my real fix (usually Colorado)
I read your thread about coming out here and what I usually say is you never know until you try!
also, for me, the people you go with (good friends) makes a big difference.

Out here there is some great stuff. Like others have said, climb Katahdin anytime, it is different from anything I have seen anywhere. Also it is very interseting how the Dack's differ from the White's and Vermont's Greens are totally different from the other two. It is like they are individually unique. and like others have said, fall is beautiful. but the West is the West!
