Thanks Courtney, if you get more beta on that guidebook author fatality up there, pass it along if you will, I could not find it. Curious what happened and we should share with others to avoid it. Route is not that exposed though. Might have been on "Mo Western" which I am sure has eaten up a few folks. Cheers!

Thomas Brereton, author of 'Zion National Park: Off-Trail Routes' reportedly died in 1979 on the SW ridge of The West Temple when a large boulder he was stepping onto shifted and fell. I'm understanding that the weather was bad and the rock was wet and soft. Some sources say this occurred on Kinesava, but the beta I have is that it actually occurred on West Temple.

Classic Hike!

I finally after 15 years of procrastination did this hike earlier this year. Absolutely loved it and found it much less intimidating than I had building it up to be. I would like to go up again next spring.
