Western Maidenhair Fern (Adiantum aleuticum)
Western maidenhair fern is common in moist forests from Alaska, south to southern California and to the inland northwest. There are scattered locations throughout much of the Rocky Mountains and a few occurrences are disjunct in the northeast U.S. Until recently this was grouped with the eastern species as Adiantum pedatum.
