Wettersteingebirge

Looking towards Zugspitze from Fernpass. I have driven by the Restaurant "Zugspitzblick" (Zugspitz View) so often but this was the first time I actually could see the Germany's highest mountain. We had a traffic jam this time so I could pick out my camera and shoot this proof that the mountain exists Sept 5th 2009

Oh - it's not for you - I found it very difficult to believe that there is such an important mountain. Each time on Fernpass for the last 12 years we have had rain or fog. If there was good weather there was a traffic jam and we drove across Hahntennjoch to the east. Zugspitze always hid from view.

I also have to admit that I have never been to its summit either. With all the cable-cars and trains I'm not attracted ...

I'm still hoping that some day we'll have a company outing there. I could hide among my colleagues ...
