Fair enough, I know I dragged around my snowshoes countless times in the Pacific Northwest, schlepping up the volcanoes, and stumbling down, Looking back I've always regretted that I didn't just ski it, and feel almost an obligation to try to steer others away from the same mistake. If I could go back and ski what I used to snowshoe, I surely would.

Abandon the snowshoes. Why not ski this? Just asking. It looks doable on Randonee, which you could then leave at the 3rd class sections and just boot the rest.

Re: Abandon the snowshoes.i've only skied a handful of times in my life, and don't have the skill(or anything close) needed to ski something like vermillion.
