White Mountain, early April...

White Mountain, early April 2004, this photo was taken on day four of our five day trip, 24 hiking miles in with the peak in view, hoping to summit, yet overcome, we had to turn around, the snow was beginning to get knee deep in areas, my water had frozen, and the approaching blizzard was getting worse, prudence said to get out of there. Next time we'll even the score !!!!!

Good use of sepia

Almost looks like photos from Scott's Antarctic expedition until you look closely at the gear and clothing.

Impressive effort

The fact that you guys made the effort makes you true adventurers in my eyes. To turn around without summitting might have been hard but it was the smart decision. Great effort. I hope you do a trip report on this one.
