At least the fishing was good, and the scenery sure is beautiful. I do love reading about your easy going approach to your backpacking adventures. You never seem to be in too big of a hurry.
Rarely in a hurry unless it involves beer! Adventures are adventures, sometimes it goes like you planned, sometimes not. The only constant in adventures is, the unknown.

Wets my appetite for getting into the Winds some day soon. Thanks for raising my awareness of the $$ for the east side approach. I knew permits were involved but frankly had sticker shock when I read your report. Maybe I'll plan my trip from the west!
